LinkedIn finally gets rid of the clutter

LinkedIn, the world’s largest professional networking site that has over 120 million members has finally undergone a redesign. Adding to its site – new social gestures such as the like, comment and share buttons.

With this new simpler Homepage it will be easy for account holders to look and find relevant information, be it updates or any news articles. The feed will be viewed in chronological and algorithmically order.

“With this new homepage you can see the most important network updates and articles at the top of the feed. This makes it quick and easy to stay on top of what matters most, such as trending topics, news, and professional updates based on what your connections and industry are reading, sharing, and discussing. This means, you’ll be spending less time hunting for information you need to be prepared for your workday and spending more time being great at the job you’re in,” said Caroline Gaffeny, Product Manager at LinkedIn.

The new company pages will be available within the next few weeks and this is how it will look like:

Like any other social media platform, LinkedIn wants to make life as easy as possible for their account users. On their company blog Gaffeny stated, “We’re always looking for new ways to make the Homepage experience better, more efficient and a place where you can come everyday to get what you need to be productive and successful. This is just the beginning of many more exciting, new features we plan to bring to the Homepage to offer more customization and functionality this year”.

It is obvious that there is still a whole lot more to come from LinkedIn. Wishing them all the best. I hope the new company page design helps them reach a broader audience.
