Seasons of Change

Just as there are seasons in nature, there are seasons in our lives and in the life of any organisation.

Interactive Concepts is on the brink of a new season. As new partnerships are formed, change will come. Whether we like it or not, whether it scares us or excites us, it will happen. It is a normal and a necessary part in order to grow.

Where there is no change, there is no life…. and ultimately that is what becomes a fossil.

For there to be life, there always needs to be growth…and growth will always suggest change.

The next couple of weeks and months will necessarily be a time of transition and a time of change for all of us. Some people love change and will gravitate toward it – others hate it and will try to find ways to avoid it. The truth is, change often is uncomfortable. It may even hurt. We are familiar with the term ‘growing pains’….when a child experiences rapid growth, he or she may very well experience real , physical pain in joints and bones.

And so it may be for us too in this next season of change. On a personal level, this next season will cost me. There are many things that (hopefully) I will love doing, yet I know for sure there are many things that typically I would hate doing.

That is change…and growth.

In closing, change for us may mean some of the following:

•           New vision and new passion for what I do

•           Finding new ways to perform my tasks

•           Learning to love people who are not like me

•           Learning to give up personal preferences

•           Learning to rely more on others

•           Allowing others to rely more on me.

God, bless the changes. Let us grow more for Your Honour and Glory.
