Judgement day for facebook?

According to a scandalous article published by Weekly World News (a website known for its bizarre cover stories) facebook will be shutting down for good on March 15, 2010. This website reports that the pressure has got the better of facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg – “The stress of managing this company has ruined my life. Facebook has gotten out of control…”
This means no more status updates, no more loading and viewing photos and videos and no more stalking the ex or girl/guy you secretly have a crush on. Over the past few years facebook has become such a big part of our lives that we have all forgotten what life was like before it was invented. When this news broke, facebook fans were in a frenzy – “without FB I am going to die. My life revolves around it”, says an anonymous facebook fan.

Im sure many people are wondering why a social network giant worth billions of dollars would decide to close its doors for good after recently receiving a 500 million dollar investment. Where’s the logic in that? Wouldn’t it be more viable to sell the company rather than shut it down?
Well Im here to tell you that you can relax because these social death rumours are not true. Facebook has squashed all these ridiculous rumours saying that they are not shutting down, they are only getting started. The article published on Weekly World News was a silly hoax, so it’s safe to say that facebook won’t be going anywhere anytime soon. So your friends, memories, photos and videos will be safe for a long time.
