You’re right David!

Okay, maybe I am the last blogger to finally comment on David Bullard’s column of yesterday in the Sunday Times.
I am so glad that he doesn’t refer to me when he says:
anonymous, scrofulous nerd pumping meaningless drivel into cyberspace at all hours of the day and night simply because he can’t find a girl to sleep with him. These are the sort of wackos who gun down their fellow students at university.”
I am of course japie swanepoel, (so I can’t be anonymous) and post maybe 4 times a week because I do have a wife and 2 kids (which means that I do have some-one to sleep with and did, or shall I say do…)

About saying whatever I wish and when I wish, I guess he is right and he obviously relies very much on that same right hence the fact that he can actually write what he did yesterday.
About people writing and promoting racist agendas and hate speech, I guess those will always be with us whether they blog about it, write articles or books about it, sing about it or make public speeches about it.
At least my posts are about issues I enjoy writing about and sharing with others and that I really do it “for the love of it“. I certainly don’t get paid big bucks for it and never get invited around the world to try out fast new sports cars and expensive champagnes. I must be honest that I would of course gladly do so once that offer comes my way.

Oh yes, I have often been called a wacko, so in that regard I guess you are right David.
I am however not a student at university and will find it impossible to gun down my fellow students seeing that I don’t have any!
Oh yes, I spent some time on Barack Obama’s blog last night. This is one of the most promising presidential hopefuls for next year’s US election. Seeing that he is in his 50s, has a wife and is no longer at varsity, I can only assume that he is a nerd, going by mr. Bullard’s definition of a blogger.
